Vineyards are the target of diseases such as fungi, pests that usually require the application of fungicides and insecticides and can destroy the fauna. This has led to the exploitation of UV-C light as a sustainable and alternative strategy for controlling vineyard diseases.
In the last quarter of 2024, the PhD student co-supervised by Matglow attended two different events at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro. In October, with an oral presentation at the Inov4Agro open day, and in November, with a poster, at the 8th Agronomic Engineering Conference on Innovation and Sustainability in the Agricultural Ecosystem.
